Earlier on in my modelling clay art workshops, I taught many students at one time in a gymnasium. One student there was hearing impaired and also wheelchair bound. I wore a device on my chest, so he could hear my voice more clearly, and take instruction as I was saying it.

This young lad worked very dilligently throughout the workshop with very little outside help and really seemed to enjoy producing the illustration himself.

When his mother came to the gym to get him to take him home, she waited for me to pack-up everything then came over to me with him. The boy wanted me to tell his mother where she could get the plasticine and the dental tools.

I gave her the address and she and he both thanked me. He said he really enjoyed doing the program - I had no idea how much...

About a half year later, his mother called me back. She said that my modelling clay art workshop course had a profound change on her son and all his academic work at school. After getting the modelling clay art and tools, her son began to illustrate all the time. He wrote stories to accompany the illustrations he made and took an interest in all aspects of school where he never had before.

She told me as a result of the course, a door to learning was opened to her son. His marks just took off and he began to really want to learn everything he could. She told me there was no holding him back! He wanted her to call me, then proceeded to thank me himself.

I don't know where this young man is today, but it was one of the most heartfelt testimonials I have ever had from a student and parent. This testimonial was the greatest gift any teacher can ever feel. It is worth more than I can be paid, and makes my teaching of modelling clay art workshops so rewarding!

It is my hope to reach and teach as many people - young and old , as I can and to teach them how to use this wonderful art medium.
